This is the plan..

I quit pretending I’d cook five Pinterest-worthy dinners every week. I know this house. Soccer will run late. Someone will need poster board after I already passed the store.

So here’s the only system that actually works.

Sunday night: grab three cuts from the freezer. Ground beef, chops, a roast, sausage—whatever looks friendly. In the fridge. Done.

Pick your lineup. One or two new recipes you saved at 11 p.m. One or two family favorites everyone will eat without a meeting. Three packs of meat. Four dinners if you play it right.

Grocery pickup is strategy, not lazy. Order ahead—produce, buns, the one weird sauce for the new recipe. Grab it on the way home without leaving the car.

Then go with the flow. Practice ran late? Extra errand? Pivot. Spaghetti with meat sauce. Burgers on the grill. Air fryer whatever. Yes, the occasional drive-thru.

Bump the fancy recipe to tomorrow. Permission is free and it tastes better than guilt.

Leftovers are a planned meal. At least one night is last night plus a vegetable if we’re ambitious. That’s how you get a night back.

I’m not thawing meat five days a week. I know it won’t happen, and then I’ll just feel behind by Tuesday. Three cuts. A little flexibility. Leftovers on purpose.

You have a lot on your plate. Plan for the chaos.

You’ve got dinner. You’ve got this.

Kenneke Family Farms

(currently debating whether ketchup counts as a vegetable)

Our Kenneke Family Farm Hot dogs are one of our go-to quick dinners. Just boil in the microwave (or roast over the campfire), and enjoy great protein that every will eat!
