Healthy Animals. Honest Food. Family Raised.

Kenneke Family Farm started with a simple goal: raise our kids the way we were raised—close to the land, caring for animals, and proud of the food on our table.

When we decided to leave the family dairy farm in 2021, we had a choice to make—continue farming part time while working other jobs, or abandon our dream of raising farm kids. We have our fair share of tough days, but the fun times and life lessons the kids are learning have made our dream come true. We would love to take you along to experience that with us.

Erin and AJ both grew up in farming families. They were active in 4-H, FFA, and other agricultural clubs, worked on farms throughout high school, and chose to continue their education in agriculture. Erin graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and AJ completed two certificates through the Farm & Industry Short Course.

After gaining experience in the industry, Erin and AJ returned home and farmed with Erin’s family at Meadow Brook Dairy Farms for five years.

In 2021, we purchased our first beef heifers and brought them home in 2022. That first season raising bottle calves came with a few challenges—like the fact that we didn’t yet have a water line to the barn. Erin mixed calf bottles in the bathtub!

Fast forward to 2026 and Erin and AJ have added some farm help: Claire (8), Colt (6), Hattie (2), and Emma (1). Today we finish about 12–15 steers per year, farrow (birth) three sows, and raise dozens of feeder hogs. The farm is also home to chickens, ducks, kittens, the occasional turkey, and Bingo the farm dog.

Our goal is simple: raise the most flavorful meat possible—for our family and for yours. That means healthy animals, quality feed, and the best care we can provide. Most of our meat is sold by quarters and halves, but we also enjoy visiting farm markets and hosting the occasional pop-up event.

For the most up-to-date look at life on the farm—baby animals, daily chores, barn projects, and freezer inventory—follow along on our Facebook page, Kenneke Family Farm.

Whether you're here to follow along with farm life, see the newest animals, or fill your freezer with locally raised beef and pork, we're grateful you're part of our story. Every purchase and every message of support helps our family continue doing what we love.

Best,

Erin
